Blue Yonder services and programs are the offerings around its Cognitive Solutions: consulting and implementation, ongoing support, migration help, a published release sequence and security assurance. In a hosted model they carry much of the cost and risk that installed-software maintenance used to carry, so a licence manager benefits from knowing which of them are named, what each is said to cover, and which are not described at all.
Editions
Blue Yonder does not publish support editions or tiers by name, apart from two premium offers that sit above baseline support.
- Surround Services is described as ongoing support, supply chain expertise and AI-driven insights that monitor performance, resolve issues and optimise AI and planning models.[2] The page also lists a Support and Maintenance benefit: access to external dedicated support with alert mechanisms and proactive health checks.[2]
- White Glove Support is described as hands-on, proactive monitoring with expertise unique to the customer and a dedicated team of resources available anytime, for the Blue Yonder Product Suite.[3]
The pages do not say how either offer relates to baseline support, whether baseline support is included in a subscription, or whether the two are the same service under different names. They state no tier, price or scope boundary. A customer should ask for the support schedule that names the severity levels, hours of coverage and response targets.
Metrics
No metric is published for any service. The services pages describe activities and claimed outcomes. Professional Services is said to cover assessment and design, implementation and optimization, and education and change management; the page claims more than 1500 supply chain experts and cites outcomes such as 30% faster deployment, a 70% higher success rate and a 22% increase in user adoption.[1] Those are marketing claims and not service levels.
The one numbered construct Blue Yonder publishes is the release. The release index lists 2026.1, 2025.2 and 2025.1, and the earlier December 2024, September 2024, June 2024, March 2024 and December 2023 releases.[4] The catalog records it as Release (year.half). The 2026.2 notes describe the current release, covering Cognitive Core and Professional Services, Cognitive Solutions for Planning, Cognitive Solutions for Execution and the Blue Yonder Network. The same page directs customers who want details of updates to the solutions they have licensed to the Blue Yonder Customer Portal, where documentation is held for each solution.[10]
Counting / floors
No minimum service commitment, hour block or retainer is published. Where a customer buys services as a block of days or a retainer, that sits in a statement of work. Because the pages describe Surround Services as ongoing and White Glove Support as available anytime, a reviewer should confirm whether those are fixed-fee, time-and-materials or consumption-based, and what happens to unused capacity.
Virtualization & partitioning
Not applicable. The security page states that disaster recovery uses secure, air-gapped backups stored in separate Azure regions, with backup data designed to be immutable and indelible and held in an isolated environment segmented from the network.[6] That is an infrastructure disclosure and not a licensing metric, but it shows that Microsoft Azure is part of Blue Yonder’s delivery chain, and the Data Cloud page names Snowflake for the platform data layer.[11]
Cloud / BYOL
There is no BYOL model for services. Two points relate to cloud migration and lifecycle.
First, the 2026.2 notes introduce Warehouse Migration Services, which reduce time and effort to modernise warehouse operations by migrating to the cloud with AI-powered accelerators, proven migration methodologies and Blue Yonder expertise.[5] The existence of a warehouse migration service implies that some warehouse customers still run outside the cloud service. The pages do not say how existing licences or maintenance are treated during a migration, so any customer planning one should obtain the transition terms in writing.
Second, the Journey to Cognitive page describes a roadmap-based move from legacy systems using modular microservices, with disruption-free upgrades that let customers innovate at their own pace instead of facing monolithic cliff events.[9] The page does not publish support windows or end-of-life dates for earlier releases. A customer that stays on an older release should ask what support applies to it.
Programs
Professional Services and Solution Implementation
The Professional Services page says implementation and optimization cover optimal configuration, seamless data integration, project governance, testing and deployment, and that Generative AI accelerators are used during implementation to produce design recommendations.[1] The Services page lists four capabilities: Supply Chain Advisory, Solution Implementation, Surround Services, and Education and Change Management.[2] A customer that supplies implementation data to AI accelerators should confirm in the contract how that data is handled.
AI-powered support
The 2026.2 notes describe AI-powered support as a digital assistant that searches the Blue Yonder knowledge base, surfaces relevant information and helps users resolve issues more quickly.[5] It is presented as part of the release and not as a separately priced service.
Release cadence
The release index shows a quarterly pattern in 2024 (March, June, September, December) and a numbered half-year pattern from 2025 (2025.1, 2025.2, 2026.1).[4] The pages do not say whether a customer must take each release, on what schedule, or how long a release is supported. These are lifecycle terms for the contract.
Customer Appreciation Program
Blue Yonder runs a Customer Appreciation Program in which customers earn points for sharing expertise, promoting accomplishments and networking, redeemable for event passes, discounts and more.[8] The page does not link points to licence fees.
Audits and compliance
Blue Yonder’s security page says its cybersecurity program, practices and policies are based on the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and ISO standards, and that on request it facilitates a formal process for providing copies of, or ensuring the deletion of, Customer Data in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.[6] It also says that, should it become aware of accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure of or access to customer data, it will notify the customer without undue delay.[6] These statements matter at termination and in incident planning; they are not a substitute for the data processing terms in the contract.
The compliance page lists attestations by solution group.[7]
| Solution group | Attestations listed |
|---|---|
| Category Management; Supply Chain Planning and Optimization; Transportation Management; Warehouse Management; Workforce Management | SOC 1, SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO 22301 |
| Adaptive Fulfillment and Warehousing Services; Control Tower; Customer Order Visibility; Demand; Enterprise Supply Planning; Inventory Services; Order Services; Pulse AI; Commit Services (Commerce) | SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO 22301 |
| Blue Yonder Network; Logistics Emissions Calculator | ISO 27001 |
| flexis | TISAX, ISO 27001, ISO 27701 |
| Optoro; Spectrum (Store Execution and Merchandise Operations, Portfolio Merchandise Management) | SOC 2 |
The table follows the page’s grouping. Because the Network and the Logistics Emissions Calculator are listed with ISO 27001 alone, a customer that needs SOC reports for the Network should request them directly. The pages do not say where the reports are held. None of these pages describes licence audits, usage verification or true-up.
Out of scope
This article does not cover the solution portfolio, the platform or the Network, which are in Blue Yonder Cognitive Solutions, platform and network. It does not cover prices, service levels or termination rights, none of which are published, nor the terms that apply to partner hardware or third-party data sets.
