Zebra Technologies

Zebra Technologies makes barcode printers, scanners and mobile computers, together with software such as the ZebraDesigner label design application and printer drivers. ZebraDesigner has free editions and a Professional edition activated with a one-time licence key.

  1. ZebraDesigner Essentials is Zebra's free edition with basic barcode label design features.[1]

  2. ZebraDesigner Professional requires purchase of a one-time activation license key and adds RFID encoding, data manipulation and database printing.[2]

  3. ZebraDesigner for Developers is a free edition for designing ZPL templates, without printing production labels from within the software.[3]

  4. ZebraDesigner must be installed on each client computer it is used on, any user may use it on that computer, and a single licence is required per installation to enable the Professional edition.[4]

  5. Zebra software licensing has moved to the Thales Sentinel platform, and older licence numbers starting 3467 for versions 3.2.2.x and earlier can no longer be used.[5]
