X-Rite
X-Rite makes colour measurement instruments and colour formulation, quality control and material appearance software such as Color iMatch, Color iQC, ColorCert and PANTORA. Its software is activated per computer with software keys or USB dongles, and PANTORA can also use an RLM network licence server.

X-Rite industrial colour software such as Color iControl uses CrypKey licensing files (hidden system files in the product directory) to control product licensing and activation.[1]
Support articles for Color iMatch and Color iQC cover hardware dongle licensing (CrypKey errors when using a hardware dongle, and changing from a red HardLock key) as well as site codes and activation codes.[2]
X-Rite publishes a PANTORA RLM License Server download, first released in April 2017, for serving PANTORA licences.[3]
PANTORA's system requirements list either an Internet connection or a USB dongle for licensing, and scene features require a VRED 2016 or 2017 Professional licence on the same computer.[4]
