Wondershare
Wondershare is a software company whose products include the Filmora video editor, PDFelement, Dr.Fone and MobileTrans. Its desktop software is licensed per device, as perpetual licences or for a fixed period such as an annual plan.
Licensing at a Glance
- Perpetual licence
- Subscription
- Per device
The Wondershare EULA grants an individual a personal, non-transferable right to install and activate the software on one device for personal, non-commercial use unless another agreement or additional EULA terms provide otherwise; installing on more devices requires buying more licences.[1]
Wondershare licences are either perpetual, usable until terminated, or for a specific period, usable only during that period.[2]
Licences may not be rented, lent, sold, sub-licensed or transferred without Wondershare's prior written consent, and the software may contain activation and enforcement technology limiting installations and devices.[3]
Filmora has an Individual Plan intended for individual use and a Business Plan intended for both individual and business use; individual-plan users who use Filmora commercially must credit the video as made by Filmora, and built-in music and sound effects may not be used commercially under the individual licence.[4]
For PDFelement, an annual licence includes free upgrades while the subscription is active and access ends if payments stop, whereas a perpetual licence gives lifetime access to the purchased version and requires payment for the next major version.[5]
