WinSCP

WinSCP is a free SFTP, SCP, S3 and FTP client for Windows written and maintained by Martin Přikryl. It is free software under the GNU GPL, with a separately licensed .NET assembly and icon set, and an optional paid Microsoft Store edition that works as a donation.

  1. WinSCP is free software under the GNU General Public License version 3 or (at the user's option) any later version.[1]

  2. The GPL lets any individual, educational institution or company run WinSCP for any purpose for free, copy it and modify it (modifications must also be released under the GPL).[2]

  3. The WinSCP .NET Assembly is under a different licence, the MPL, and the images in WinSCP are not under the GPL and may not be redistributed separately from WinSCP.[3]

  4. WinSCP trademarks and logos are owned by Martin Přikryl and may only be used with his prior written consent.[4]

  5. WinSCP is also sold through the Microsoft Store as a form of donation; the free classic installer remains available and Store purchases are not refundable.[5]
