WinMagic
WinMagic makes SecureDoc full-disk encryption and MagicEndpoint passwordless authentication software. On-premise products are licensed per endpoint under a perpetual licence with support services or under a renewable subscription term.
Licensing at a Glance
- Perpetual licence
- Subscription
- Per device
The on-premise agreement grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to use the software in object code form only, limited to the permitted number of installations on endpoints.[1]
Licences are granted either for a perpetual licence term with a renewable support services term, or for a subscription term that renews automatically unless cancelled.[2]
The customer may not transfer the agreement without WinMagic's prior written consent, while WinMagic may assign it to an affiliate, subsidiary or other third party without notice.[3]
WinMagic may audit licence compliance on reasonable notice during business hours; the customer bears audit costs only if a material breach is found.[4]
SecureDoc provides full-disk encryption for Windows, macOS and Linux and can manage BitLocker, FileVault and Opal self-encrypting drives; SecureDoc and MagicEndpoint can be purchased separately.[5]
