Universal Audio

Universal Audio makes audio interfaces and other recording hardware together with UAD plug-ins and the LUNA recording software. Its software is licensed under the UA EULA as perpetual licences or through the UAD Spark Studio subscription.

  1. The UA EULA describes perpetual licences, which allow use of a product in perpetuity, and subscription licences, which grant use as part of a duration-limited subscription package.[1]

  2. Licensing a UA software product requires an internet connection at authorisation and an account at uaudio.com; products for host-based platforms may be protected by PACE iLok.[2]

  3. Customers may deactivate and uninstall licensed materials on one computer in order to install and activate them on another.[3]

  4. Use is permitted only for software obtained from UA, an authorised UA reseller or a permitted transferor.[4]

  5. UAD Spark Studio is a subscription to the full UAD Native plug-in library plus the LUNA Studio DAW for macOS and Windows.[5]
