UniKey

UniKey is a Vietnamese keyboard input program for Windows developed by Pham Kim Long. The Windows program is free of charge, and the source code of its core UniKey Vietnamese Input Method engine is published under the GNU General Public License.

  2. All source code on the UniKey source page is released under the GNU General Public License, and downloading it means agreeing to the licence terms; the full UniKey 3.6 Windows source was also released for educational purposes.[2]

  3. UniKey for Windows was first released as a free program in 1999, and its core input engine was first released as open source with the x-unikey Linux package in 2001.[3]

  4. UniKey is developed by Pham Kim Long, who states that unikey.org is the only official website and that he is not responsible for other sites offering UniKey.[4]

  5. Current UniKey 4.6 RC2 builds are distributed as ZIP files for 64-bit, 32-bit and ARM64 Windows.[5]
