Thermo Fisher Scientific

Thermo Fisher Scientific makes laboratory instruments, consumables and services along with instrument control, data and laboratory informatics software. Software supplied with its products is licensed, not sold, for internal use on the Thermo Fisher hardware it accompanies, with some products under supplementary software licences.

  1. Software incorporated in or forming part of Thermo Fisher products is licensed, not sold, and Thermo Fisher or its licensors keep all rights in it.[1]

  2. The licence is royalty-free, non-exclusive and non-transferable, without the right to sublicense, and covers use for the customer's internal business purposes on the hardware products Thermo Fisher supplies.[2]

  3. The software licence ends automatically when the customer's lawful possession of the associated hardware ends, and on termination the software and documentation must be returned.[3]

  4. Customers may not sell, transfer or license the software to third parties, or disassemble, decompile, reverse engineer, copy or modify it without prior written consent.[4]

  5. Some products are subject to additional software licences or other Supplementary Terms, provided in the quotation, on thermofisher.com or with the product.[5]
