Therefore Corporation, based near Vienna and backed by Canon, develops the Therefore information and document management platform. It is licensed on-premises in several editions or as the subscription-based Therefore Online cloud service, with named and concurrent user licences.

Therefore On-Premises is available in Workgroup, Essentials, Business, Enterprise and Subscription editions, and Workgroup and Essentials can be scaled up to Business/Enterprise through a licensing change.[1]
The Workgroup edition includes the server license, sells named user licenses in packs of 5 and supports 50 licenses in total.[2]
Therefore Online is offered as a single subscription-based edition with monthly or yearly plans; customers can start with one user license and add more during the contract term.[3]
A Named User License is assigned to one individual employee, while a Concurrent User License is shared among all users of the system who do not hold a named license.[4]
Therefore Corporation was founded in 2003 as ADOS, rebranded in 2009, and is backed by investors Canon and Equity 51.[5]
