
Sudo
Sudo is the open-source Unix and Linux utility that lets permitted users run commands as another user, maintained by Todd C. Miller. It is distributed under an ISC-style permissive licence.

Sudo is distributed under a permissive licence allowing use, copying, modification and distribution for any purpose, with or without fee, provided the copyright and permission notice are kept.[1]
Some files, such as the Python plugin bindings and several audit and utility sources, carry their own permissive or BSD-style licence notices, listed on the licence page.[2]
As of version 1.6, Sudo no longer contains any of the original Root Group code and is available under an ISC-style licence.[3]
Quest Software sponsored Sudo development from 2010 until February 2024; Sudo is currently maintained by Todd C. Miller.[4]
