Stellar Information Technology develops data recovery, file and database repair, and email conversion software. Products are sold as subscription or lifetime licences in editions such as Professional, Technician and Toolkit, with free trial versions.

  1. Stellar products are offered as a free trial for evaluation, as auto-renewing subscriptions that include updates and support during the term, or as lifetime licences.[1]

  2. A Stellar lifetime (perpetual) licence allows use of the software for 10 years after a one-time payment, with one year of complimentary support.[2]

  3. The EULA grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the software on a single computer or workstation for personal or internal business purposes.[3]

  4. Customers must use the Technician edition when using the software to provide professional or paid services to third parties or for other commercial purposes.[4]

  5. Subscription licences may be installed only on the permitted number of computers and require a recurring internet connection to activate, renew and validate the licence; the EULA also defines a Pay Per Use licence type based on usage counts.[5]
