SourceGear

SourceGear develops the Vault centralised version control system, the DiffMerge file comparison tool and SQLite distributions for .NET. Vault is licensed per active named user, with optional annual maintenance.

Licensing at a Glance

  1. Vault Professional and Vault Standard are priced per active named user account: each active login on a Vault server needs one user licence.[1]

  2. A Vault Professional Web Only licence gives browser-only access to the Vault Professional server for team members who do not need IDE integration and version control features.[2]

  3. Vault maintenance is bought per user, one year at a time, and provides technical support and free upgrades for that year, including across major versions.[3]

  4. Vault 11 requires new licence keys; users with maintenance current at the time of release are eligible for a free upgrade.[4]

  5. Volume discounts apply to Vault licences bought in a single transaction; prior purchases are not counted.[5]

  6. The DiffMerge source repository is published under the GNU GPL version 3.[6]
