Soundtoys

Soundtoys, Inc. makes audio effect plug-ins for digital audio workstations, sold individually and as the Soundtoys 5 bundle. Licences are sold per user and activated through iLok, on up to two computers.

  1. The software may be used by one person and installed on up to two computers at once, provided it is used on only one computer at a time.[1]

  2. The licence may not be transferred to a third party without Soundtoys' express written consent; Soundtoys may deny transfer requests and set transfer fees and policies.[2]

  3. The software connects to the internet to check for updates and to validate that it is properly authorized.[3]

  4. Approved licence transfers are made through the iLok License Manager, and iLok charges a $25 fee for each transfer.[4]

  5. Both activations of a licence are tied to a single iLok account and cannot be split across two iLok accounts.[5]

  6. Soundtoys offers a free 30-day trial and an academic edition of Soundtoys 5 for students and educators.[6]
