Software- und Organisations-Service
Software- und Organisations-Service GmbH (SOS) of Berlin develops the JS7 JobScheduler workload automation platform. JS7 is dual-licensed: free under the GPLv3 open source licence, or under a commercial licence that adds clustering and vendor support.
Licensing at a Glance
- Open source
- Perpetual licence
- Subscription
- Consumption / usage based
JS7 is offered under a dual licensing model: an open source licence (GPLv3) and a commercial licence.[1]
Clustering of JS7 products for high availability is available only with the commercial licence; core Controller, JOC Cockpit and Agent functionality is the same under both licences.[2]
Direct support from the SOS support team and professional services are available to commercial licence customers; open source users rely on community support.[3]
Commercial licences are offered as perpetual licences (with annual maintenance fees after the first year), annual subscription licences, or pay-per-use packages of 50,000 to 1,000,000 job executions valid for two years.[4]
Subscription licences can be converted to perpetual licences within two years; commercial pricing is provided on request from SOS sales.[5]
