Sober Lemur
Sober Lemur S.r.l. is the Italian publisher of PDFsam, whose PDFsam Basic split-and-merge tool is free and open source under the AGPL. The paid PDFsam Visual and PDFsam Enhanced editions are licensed under separate EULAs, with PDFsam Visual sold per user as a subscription or a perpetual licence.

PDFsam Basic is a free, open-source desktop app for Windows, macOS and Linux released under the AGPL licence, with no watermarks and no file size limit.[1]
PDFsam Basic source files state that it may be redistributed or modified under the GNU Affero General Public License version 3 or (at the user's option) any later version.[2]
PDFsam Visual must be activated with a licence key after a two-week trial; a key can be bought as a perpetual licence or as a subscription with a monthly or annual fee.[3]
An individual licensee may install and activate PDFsam Visual on up to two computers of which they are the primary user; an entity may install it on as many computers as the licence keys or seats it purchased.[4]
PDFsam Visual licences may not be sold, assigned or transferred without Sober Lemur's prior written consent.[5]
PDFsam Visual is offered per user per year as a subscription or as a one-time perpetual purchase, each covering one user and two computers.[6]
