SmartDeploy

SmartDeploy makes Windows imaging and endpoint management software, now part of PDQ. It is licensed per managed device as an annual subscription in Starter, Plus and Pro packages.

  1. A licence is required for each device managed with SmartDeploy; licensing is an annual subscription with pricing tiered by quantity and features, starting at USD 1,100 per year.[1]

  2. Additional licences can be bought at any time and are pro-rated and co-termed with the original agreement; reducing quantities or downgrading is only possible at renewal.[2]

  3. A courtesy overage is allowed by default, and customers have 30 days after an initial overage to return to compliance by buying licences or decommissioning devices.[3]

  4. Devices stay licensed until permanently removed from the fleet, when the licence can be reclaimed for another machine; any number of images can be created.[4]

  5. Platform Packs of drivers for certain device models are charged per model, per OS, with no charge for updates to existing packs.[5]
