Sandboxie

Sandboxie is an application sandboxing tool for Windows, maintained by David Xanatos as Sandboxie Plus and Sandboxie Classic. Sandboxie Classic is under the GPL version 3, while Sandboxie Plus is free for noncommercial use and requires a business certificate for commercial use.

  1. Anyone who obtains Sandboxie-Plus may use it in any noncommercial setting, but certain functionality is only available with a supporter certificate from xanasoft.com.[1]

  2. Commercial use of Sandboxie-Plus requires a business certificate, although commercial evaluation is permitted for a limited period on no more than 3 machines.[2]

  3. A business certificate is required to use Sandboxie Plus in a business or educational setting.[3]

  4. Patreon-based certificates are valid while the subscription is active and unlock all features.[4]

  5. The Sandboxie Classic licence file is the GNU General Public License version 3.[5]
