RSA Security
RSA Security makes identity and access management software, including RSA SecurID, RSA ID Plus and RSA Governance & Lifecycle. Software is licensed under its End User License Agreement or a signed agreement, with rights measured by the units of measure in its Units of Measure and Software Use document.
Licensing at a Glance
- Named user
- Concurrent user
- Per processor
- Subscription
RSA software is licensed through a signed agreement for direct customers, or through RSA's End User License Agreement for customers who buy directly or through channel partners.[1]
Under a per User (seat) licence, the count is the maximum number of Users who may be managed by, authorised to use or access the software, whether or not they are actively using it.[2]
Other units of measure include Active User (verified at least once in the previous calendar month), Lite and Inactive Users for Governance & Lifecycle, per CPU, per Concurrent user or connection, per Database and Appliance.[3]
The EULA grants a nonexclusive, nontransferable licence to use the software solely for the customer's internal business purposes, for the duration shown on the RSA quote; the software may not be transferred to an affiliate or third party.[4]
RSA may audit product usage no more than once a year at its own expense with at least 30 days' notice, and may remotely monitor the number of licences in use; usage beyond what was paid for must be paid for.[5]
