Rebex
Rebex (Rebex CR s.r.o.) is a Czech publisher of .NET libraries for SFTP, FTP, SSH, TLS, HTTPS and e-mail protocols, plus the Buru SFTP Server. Its .NET components are sold as perpetual per-developer licences with royalty-free runtime redistribution.
Licensing at a Glance
- Perpetual licence
- Named user
The Rebex General End User Agreement grants a limited, perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to the .NET components, and allows the licensee to distribute the runtime with its own products royalty-free.[1]
Under the single developer licence, every developer working with the Rebex product on a project must purchase a licence.[2]
Rebex .NET libraries are licensed per developer; testers who only use the compiled application and automated build servers do not need a licence, and a licensed developer may use the library on any number of machines.[3]
A licence can be reassigned to another developer when the original developer leaves or no longer needs access, and a library pack licence cannot be split between several developers.[4]
Trial copies may be used for evaluation only for 30 days, may not be used to create applications and may not be redistributed.[5]
Rebex libraries may not be used in a product that directly or indirectly competes with them, such as a repackaged component or wrapper that exposes the Rebex API to other developers.[6]
