QAD

QAD (trading as QAD|Redzone) makes Adaptive ERP, Redzone connected-workforce software, supply chain planning and related manufacturing applications. Its software and cloud services are sold under licence and cloud services agreements, with metrics such as named users, concurrent users and usage credits defined in its Software & Cloud Services Terms.

  1. QAD's Software & Cloud Services Terms define the metrics used when selling its offerings and form an integral part of its License and Maintenance Agreements, Licensing Provisions and Cloud Services Agreements.[1]

  2. For general products, a Named User means each individual, device or process that has access to the system; a Limited Named User may only use a defined set of functions, and during an audit the customer must provide a list of all user IDs associated with Limited Named Users.[2]

  3. Champion AI is metered in Credits: the licensed quantity is the maximum usable within a subscription year, Credits are pooled across users but limited to the SKU for which they were bought, and unused Credits expire.[3]

  4. Under the Cloud Program Document, cloud services are made available on a subscription basis, usage is limited to the subscription levels in the Order Document, and the then-current program documents apply when an Order Document is signed or renews.[4]

  5. QAD publishes a Cloud Services Agreement as the framework agreement under which its cloud services and professional services are purchased and delivered.[5]
