pkgconf
pkgconf is an open-source toolkit for configuring compiler and linker flags for development libraries, providing a superset of the functionality of freedesktop.org's pkg-config. It is distributed under a permissive ISC-style licence.
Licensing at a Glance
- Open source
The pkgconf licence grants permission to use, copy, modify and distribute the software for any purpose, with or without fee, provided the copyright and permission notice appear in all copies.[1]
The software is provided as is, without any warranty, and the authors are not liable for damages arising from its use.[2]
pkgconf is a superset of pkg-config's functionality but does not provide bug-compatibility with the original pkg-config; libpkgconf exposes most of its functionality as a library.[3]
The bomtool and spdxtool programs in pkgconf generate software bills of materials in SPDX formats for a given set of pkg-config modules.[4]
Release tarballs are published on distfiles.ariadne.space.[5]
