Piriform makes the CCleaner PC and Mac optimisation tools plus Recuva and Speccy; the brand is now part of Gen Digital. Free editions are for personal, non-commercial use only, while paid and business editions are subscriptions for a set number of devices.

  1. CCleaner products are licensed under a shared End User License Agreement (version 1.16, revised 27 January 2026) with Gen Digital group entities as the vendor, depending on the customer's location.[1]

  2. Paid solutions are licensed for a Subscription Period and a Permitted Number of Devices set in the purchase terms.[2]

  3. Free solutions such as CCleaner Free are Consumer Solutions licensed only to a natural person and their household for personal, non-commercial use; they are not licensed to any business, government entity or non-profit.[3]

  4. Business Solutions may be used by the customer and its affiliates for internal business purposes, and activation codes may not be used on more devices than permitted.[4]
