pdfforge

pdfforge makes PDFCreator, a Windows PDF printer and converter, and the PDF Architect editor. PDFCreator Free is for personal use; business editions are annual subscriptions licensed per workstation or per server.

Licensing at a Glance

  • Subscription
  • Per device
  • Per server
  • Free tier

  1. PDFCreator Free is free for personal use; commercial use requires one of the business editions (Professional, Terminal Server or Server).[1]

  2. PDFCreator is licensed per device or per server, never per user: Professional needs one licence per workstation, while Terminal Server and Server each need one licence per server.[2]

  3. A Terminal Server licence allows unlimited concurrent users on that server, for environments such as Citrix and Windows RDS.[3]

  4. Business editions are priced per year; when a licence expires PDFCreator stops working on business machines until the subscription is renewed, and free users are unaffected.[4]
