OPTIMAL SYSTEMS is a German developer of enterprise content management and document management software, including enaio and the cloud-oriented yuuvis product line. enaio is licensed through licence files containing seat and floating licence keys.

  1. enaio is licensed with seat licence keys, which are assigned to workstations, and floating licence keys, which do not need to be assigned to a workstation.[1]

  2. The enaio server licence is supplied only as a seat licence key bound to a fixed GUID or TCP/IP address; a changed server address or additional licences require a new licence file.[2]

  3. Some enaio modules are licensed separately; for example, the overlay management module 'ADI' must be licensed on every workstation that uses it.[3]

  4. enaio 12.0 introduced the Universal Client License (CLU), which lets a user start any number of client applications (enaio client, webclient, webclient app and mobile) on any number of stations at the same time; licence files for 12.0 cannot be imported into earlier versions.[4]
