Octopus Deploy makes a continuous delivery and deployment automation tool, available as the hosted Octopus Cloud or the self-hosted Octopus Server. It is licensed by annual subscription tiers based mainly on the number of projects, with a free tier.

  2. Professional starts at $4,330 per year with 20 projects by default and is sized for under 100 projects; Enterprise starts at $24,600 per year with 100 projects by default.[2]

  3. A project is a container for a single deployable component, and a machine is a Windows, Linux or macOS host registered as a deployment target; tenants and machines are add-ons on paid tiers.[3]

  4. Octopus is offered both as Octopus Cloud (hosted by Octopus) and as Octopus Server (self-hosted), and can also be bought through Azure Marketplace.[4]

  5. The Customer Agreement has four parts: General Terms, Product Terms, a Data Processing Agreement and the order form with what is bought, duration and pricing.[5]
