Oasys

Oasys (Ove Arup Systems) is the software division of Arup, making structural engineering (GSA, AdSec, Compos), geotechnical (Slope, Frew, Pile and others) and pedestrian simulation (MassMotion) software. Desktop software is sold under perpetual or subscription licences for a set number of authorised computers.

  1. Purchase and maintenance of all Oasys desktop software is governed by the Oasys Software Licence and Support Agreement; Oasys Gofer and Giraphe have separate SaaS agreements.[1]

  2. Support and maintenance is included with subscription licences for their full duration; for perpetual licences, annual maintenance is priced as a percentage of the most recent list price.[2]

  3. The licence allows installation and use during the Licence Term only for internal business operations, on up to the maximum number of Authorised Systems stated in the Order.[3]

  4. Customers may transfer the software between their own computers an unlimited number of times free of charge, as long as concurrent copies do not exceed the licensed number of Authorised Systems.[4]

  5. Sharing via remote access or virtualisation is allowed only when more than one Authorised System is licensed, and the number of simultaneous users may not exceed that number.[5]

  6. The agreement renews automatically for Licence Renewal Periods unless either party gives written notice at least 60 days before the end of the current term.[6]
