NComputing

NComputing makes desktop virtualization software (vSpace Pro, VERDE VDI), the LEAF OS endpoint operating system and PMC Endpoint Manager, together with thin-client devices. Software updates and support are licensed per device through Annual Maintenance Programs (AMPs).

  1. vSpace Pro AMP is licensed per device and billed annually; 100% coverage is required, and AMP compliance unlocks vSpace Pro Enterprise, newer Windows OS support and enhanced support.[1]

  2. Deployments that include any compatible NComputing device manufactured before 1 January 2015 require vSpace Pro AMP licences for all compatible devices, regardless of manufacture date.[2]

  3. Device AMP is licensed per device and billed annually, with the first year included with device purchase; each thin client needs its own current AMP licence to keep receiving firmware updates, and renewing an expired AMP is applied retroactively.[3]

  4. LEAF OS can be downloaded as a trial, with a trial licence key sent by email.[4]

  5. Multiple users sharing a single Windows operating system through NComputing require standard Microsoft Windows Server licensing, including a Windows Server CAL and an RDS CAL for each user or device.[5]
