Mitel
Mitel makes business communications systems, including the MiVoice Business call-control platform and MiCollab unified communications, deployed on Mitel controllers, standard servers, virtualisation platforms or public cloud. MiVoice Business is licensed per user, either as perpetual licences with annual Software Assurance or as monthly subscriptions.
Licensing at a Glance
- Perpetual licence
- Subscription
- Named user
MiVoice Business licensing can be bought as a one-time purchase (CapEx), to which annual Software Assurance must be applied, or as a monthly recurring expenditure (OpEx) that includes Software Assurance.[1]
MiVoice Business licences are either perpetual or subscription; with subscription licensing the licence is at the user level, and capabilities such as SIP trunks or Teleworker are bundled into the user licence.[2]
With Enterprise Licensing a Designated License Manager pools licences across systems, and all licences in a DLM must be of the same type (all perpetual or all subscription).[3]
MiVoice Business Subscription provides user licensing on a monthly subscription in four bundles: MiVB Telephony, MiVB Entry, MiVB Premier and MiVB Elite CX (Ed.2).[4]
Existing à la carte licences cannot be migrated to MiVoice Business Subscription Ed 2.0 licensing.[5]
