MiKTeX

MiKTeX is an implementation of TeX/LaTeX and related programs for Windows, macOS and Linux, with an integrated package manager and the TeXworks front end. It is open source and distributed as a collection of independently licensed packages that may be freely redistributed.

  4. MiKTeX is described as open source and includes TeXworks as a TeX front end; its integrated package manager installs missing components from the internet when required.[4]
