MIDAS IT

MIDAS IT is a South Korean developer of structural, civil and geotechnical engineering analysis and design software, including CIVIL NX, GEN NX, GTS NX and FEA NX. Licences are counted as concurrent copies and authenticated either online or with a USB hardware lock.

  1. MIDAS software has two authentication methods: Web Authentication, which needs an internet connection during use, and Hardware Lock Authentication with a USB device; the method is chosen when the product is purchased.[1]

  2. Web Authentication uses an ID, password and Protection Key ID, while a hardware lock is registered with its key number.[2]

  3. Simultaneous use of a MIDAS program is allowed up to the number of copies the company owns; for example, three copies of CIVIL allow three people to use it at the same time.[3]

  4. MIDAS IT uses automated technical measures to detect illegal use and may block a user ID if copyright infringement is suspected.[4]
