MESCIUS

MESCIUS (formerly GrapeCity) makes developer components for .NET and JavaScript, including ComponentOne, ActiveReports, Spread, SpreadJS, Wijmo and Document Solutions. Its products are licensed per developer seat as subscription or perpetual licences, with separate EULAs for each product line.

  1. The ComponentOne EULA is an agreement with MESCIUS USA, Inc., formerly known as GrapeCity, Inc.[1]

  2. The Standard Developer License is granted on a Developer Seat Basis, royalty-free, as either a Subscription License or a Perpetual License; if the number of developers exceeds the licences purchased, the additional seats must be paid for.[2]

  3. On expiry or non-renewal of a Subscription License, development must stop, the software must be uninstalled, and only Developed Software compiled during an active term may be distributed; a Perpetual License does not expire, but updates and support may require an active maintenance plan.[3]

  4. A separate Pipeline License is required for automated CI builds; it cannot be used during development and does not replace each developer's Standard Developer License.[4]

  5. MESCIUS publishes a separate EULA for each product line: ComponentOne, ActiveReportsJS, ActiveReports.NET, Document Solutions, SpreadJS, Spread.NET, DataViewsJS and Wijmo.[5]
