Kong
Kong Inc. makes the Kong Gateway API gateway, the Kong Konnect API platform and the Insomnia API client. Kong Gateway's open-source core is Apache-2.0 licensed, while Konnect is sold as Plus (per gateway per month) and Enterprise (custom, annual) plans and self-managed Enterprise gateways use a subscription licence file.

Kong Konnect offers a free 30-day trial with Enterprise functionality and no credit card required.[1]
The Konnect Plus plan is charged per gateway per month and billed monthly; Enterprise has custom pricing billed annually with no gateway limits and fully self-hosted gateways available.[2]
Customers receive a licence file when they sign up for a Kong Gateway Enterprise subscription, and each node checks for the licence at startup without needing network connectivity.[3]
Enterprise licences expire at midnight on the expiration date, and Kong Manager warns of expiry 15 days in advance.[4]
The Kong Gateway open-source repository is licensed under the Apache License 2.0.[5]
