KNIME Analytics Platform is free and open source for building and running workflows locally on the desktop; paid offerings are used to collaborate, govern and scale.[1]
KNIME Analytics Platform is licensed under the GNU General Public License version 3 with additional permissions under Section 7 applying to the files in KNIME plug-in folders.[2]
Under the additional permissions, nodes that extend KNIME and only interoperate through its standard APIs are deemed separate programs, and their owners may choose their own licence terms.[3]
The Pro and Team plans are monthly subscriptions that include workflow-runtime credits, with additional runtime charged per vCore minute; Team includes three team members, with more available at an extra monthly charge.[4]
KNIME Business Hub is sold under commercial terms with pricing available on request; the pricing page lists the Analytics Platform as open source and the Hub tiers under terms of use or commercial licences.[5]
