KiCad
KiCad is an open-source electronic design automation (EDA) suite for schematic capture and PCB layout, developed by the KiCad Development Team. The program is licensed under the GNU GPL version 3 or later, with its libraries under CC-BY-SA 4.0.

KiCad is free software; the majority of its source code is developed and distributed under the GNU General Public License version 3 or greater, and some third-party code carries other licences such as MIT.[1]
The KiCad symbol, footprint and 3D model libraries are distributed under the CC-BY-SA 4.0 licence.[2]
KiCad documentation is offered under a choice of the GNU GPL version 3 or later or the Creative Commons Attribution License version 3.0 or later.[3]
The suite runs on Windows, Linux and macOS; it was first released in 1992 by Jean-Pierre Charras and is now managed by the KiCad Development Team, governed by a technical committee of lead developers.[4]
