KernelApps Private Limited, based in India, publishes the Kernel Data Recovery range of data recovery, file repair, email migration and backup tools. Its software is sold as single-copy or multi-user licences under a common EULA.

A single-copy licence permits use of one licensed copy, and a multi-user licence permits the number of copies stated in the documents KernelApps issues with the licence.[1]
Each licensed copy may be used by one person, or non-simultaneously by several people on a single workstation; the EULA states it is not a concurrent use licence.[2]
The EULA prohibits renting, leasing, reverse engineering or making the software available through a service bureau or application service provider.[3]
The EULA is governed by the laws of the State of Delhi, India.[4]
Kernel Data Recovery offers free NFR (not for resale) licences to Microsoft MVPs and MCSEs for research, demonstration, education, testing or training.[5]
