Kaspersky
AO Kaspersky Lab makes endpoint protection, EDR and XDR products for businesses (the Kaspersky Next line and Kaspersky Small Office Security) and security suites for home users. Its products are licensed for a limited term under an end user licence agreement, with Kaspersky Next licensed per user.
Licensing at a Glance
- Subscription
- Named user
- Per device
Kaspersky Next uses per-user licensing: for each user it can protect one desktop, laptop or file server and up to two Android, iOS or iPadOS mobile devices.[1]
The licensed user count is calculated from protected devices: the total of desktops, laptops and file servers, or half the number of mobile devices, whichever is larger.[2]
A Kaspersky Next licence is a time-limited right to use the application under the End User License Agreement; a free trial licence can be used for only one trial period, and a commercial licence is paid.[3]
The End User License Agreement is a binding agreement between the customer and AO Kaspersky Lab that is accepted before using the software.[4]
Kaspersky publishes separate EULA collections for business (SMB and enterprise) products, including cloud products such as Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud, and for consumer products.[5]
