insightsoftware develops financial reporting, planning, close, disclosure and equity management software for the office of the CFO, along with data connectivity and embedded analytics products. Software is licensed under a Software and Services Agreement as cloud or on-premises term subscriptions, with named user as the default licensing model.

  1. insightsoftware licenses software under a variety of licensing models, including named user, enterprise, server, site and location, as set out in the purchase document or product-specific terms.[1]

  2. If the purchase document is silent, the licensing model is Named User, a licence tied to an Authorized User with a unique login; Authorized Users must be humans and bots are never Authorized Users.[2]

  3. Named User licences may be reassigned for personnel changes if the prior user's credentials are deactivated and no two individuals share a licence on a rotating basis; customers must keep records of assignments and provide them on request.[3]

  4. Cloud Software and On-Premises Software are licensed for a limited term for internal business purposes; Perpetual On-Premises Software applies to existing customers only and excludes updates and support unless a support subscription is maintained.[4]

  5. Separate module licensing descriptions apply to product lines including Magnitude, Logi Analytics, Certent and Dundas software.[5]
