Idera, Inc. makes database management, monitoring and administration tools, mainly for Microsoft SQL Server, such as SQL Diagnostic Manager and SQL Compliance Manager, and the ER/Studio data modeling tools. Software is licensed under a master software licence agreement (perpetual) or a master software subscription agreement, with metrics such as per instance or per database, and some tools are offered as freeware.

Idera publishes a Master Software License Agreement, a Master Software Subscription Agreement, a Freeware Software License Agreement and Supplemental AI Terms.[1]
Under the Master Software License Agreement, Idera grants a perpetual, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to install the licensed software on hardware owned or operated by or for the customer, according to the scope on the order form.[2]
Software licensed per instance may be used on one instance per licence purchased, and software licensed per database on one database per licence.[3]
The agreement also refers to Single Seat, Workstation, Concurrent Users, Network Named User, Named User and CPU licences, each tied to a licensed country designated in the order form.[4]
Idera reserves the right to gather licence usage data such as licence key numbers, server IP addresses, user email addresses and domain counts to verify compliance.[5]
