IDEA StatiCa

IDEA StatiCa develops structural engineering software for the design and code-checking of steel connections, members and concrete details. It is sold as perpetual licences or subscriptions using an online, account-based floating licence system.

  1. IDEA StatiCa can be licensed as a perpetual licence or as a monthly, quarterly or annual subscription, with Steel, Concrete, Complete and Enterprise packages.[1]

  2. All IDEA StatiCa licences are floating and account-based (username and password), drawing seats from a dynamic pool per product; there is no separate single or network configuration.[2]

  3. A standard IDEA StatiCa licence is valid only in the country specified at purchase, usually the billing address; multinational use has to be defined through an Enterprise licence.[3]

  4. Under the standard commercial licence a maximum of seven individual users may be assigned per seat.[4]

  5. The EULA allows IDEA StatiCa and its authorised distributors to audit compliance with at least five days' notice, and also electronically through the software's audit functionality, which reports installation and usage data.[5]

  6. The EULA prohibits assigning or transferring rights without IDEA StatiCa's prior written consent, and treats a merger, consolidation or reorganisation of the licensee as such a transfer.[6]
