Grundig Business Systems

Grundig Business Systems is a German maker of dictation devices and voice processing software, including DigtaSoft dictation and workflow software and GoSpeech transcription, and a reseller of Dragon speech recognition. Business customers license software under its B2B terms, either perpetually per computer or as concurrent-user or named-user licences.

  1. Grundig Business Systems publishes separate supplementary B2B terms for software licensing, software maintenance, SaaS, software and hardware rental, server capacity, Dragon Medical One, Fluency and GoSpeech Enterprise.[1]

  2. Once the agreed fee is paid in full, the customer may use the software within the contractual scope; if no scope is agreed, the right is a simple, non-exclusive, perpetual right of use on one computer at a time, for internal purposes only.[2]

  3. Multi-seat use is licensed either by the agreed number of workstations using the software at the same time (concurrent-user model) or by the agreed number of users (named-user model), and server installation is allowed only if use beyond that number is prevented.[3]

  4. Usage rights may be transferred to a third party only if the customer gives up its own rights completely and passes on the usage restrictions.[4]

  5. Renting the software, granting sub-licences, or running it as an ASP or SaaS service requires Grundig Business Systems' express consent.[5]
