GnuPG
GnuPG (the GNU Privacy Guard) is a free implementation of the OpenPGP standard for encrypting and signing data, with Gpg4win as its Windows distribution. It is free software under the GNU GPL, and g10 Code offers commercial support and the GnuPG Desktop and VS-Desktop products.

GnuPG has been Free Software since 1997 and can be freely used, modified and distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License.[1]
GnuPG source files state they may be redistributed under the GNU GPL version 3 or any later version (SPDX GPL-3.0-or-later).[2]
The GnuPG FAQ says there is no fixed price for GnuPG and that many sites offer legal free downloads.[3]
Old GnuPG branches are maintained for at least two years, and an Extended Long Term Support contract is available for some end-of-life branches.[4]
GnuPG.com, a brand of g10 code GmbH run by GnuPG's and Gpg4win's principal developers, offers commercial support, custom development and code audits.[5]
GnuPG VS-Desktop is largely the same software as GnuPG Desktop but is approved for VS-NfD classified information (BSI-VSA-10867).[6]
