GNOME Project
The GNOME Project develops the GNOME desktop environment, its core applications and the GTK/GLib development platform, supported by the non-profit GNOME Foundation. Its software is free and open source, with licences set per module (for example LGPL-2.1-or-later for GTK and GLib).

The GTK 4 toolkit is licensed under LGPL-2.1-or-later.[2]
The GLib utility library is licensed under LGPL-2.1-or-later.[3]
The GNOME Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit registered in California, is the legal owner of the GNOME, GTK, Flatpak and Flathub trademarks and the GNOME foot logo; uses beyond its trademark guidelines require permission.[4]
