Globalscape

Globalscape, now part of Fortra, publishes the EFT managed file transfer server and the EFT Arcus hosted service. EFT is licensed perpetually or by subscription per server instance, with optional add-on modules and maintenance plans.

Licensing at a Glance

  • Perpetual licence
  • Subscription
  • Per server

  1. An Instance is a single copy of EFT loaded into an operating system's memory, whether on a physical computer, virtual machine, container or other abstraction.[1]

  2. A Server License covers a single Instance and is not limited to a specific number of authorized users; add-on modules are purchased separately and work with the server program.[2]

  3. Perpetual licences last in perpetuity unless terminated for breach, and updates and upgrades are provided under a purchased maintenance and support plan or an EFT Arcus subscription.[3]

  4. The evaluation period is a 30-day free licence, and Globalscape may inspect compliance no more than once per year.[4]
