GFI Software

GFI Software makes network security, email and collaboration software, including GFI LanGuard, KerioControl and Kerio Connect. Products are activated with licence keys managed in the GFI Accounts Portal, individually or through a GFI Unlimited subscription.

Licensing at a Glance

  • Subscription

  1. Under a GFI Unlimited subscription, licence keys for the individual products included in the subscription are generated from the subscription in the GFI Accounts Portal.[1]

  2. Upgrading to a major release of a GFI product usually requires updating the licence key in the GFI Accounts Portal, while a minor release does not require a new key.[2]

  3. A free version upgrade requires a valid software maintenance agreement (SMA); without one the free upgrade option is not available and the SMA is updated through an authorized reseller.[3]

  4. GFI licence keys are available in the product dashboard, the GFI Accounts Portal and the registration email, and support entitlement is based on licence validity.[4]
