GeoVision

GeoVision is a Taiwanese maker of IP surveillance cameras, access control and video management software such as GV-VMS. GV-VMS is free for a base number of GeoVision device channels, with paid channel, third-party device and AI licences beyond that.

  1. GV-VMS V20 connects up to 256 IP channels, of which up to 64 GeoVision IP device channels are free; additional channels require licences.[1]

  2. GV-VMS Pro licences add channels beyond the free 64 in increments of 32, in six levels up to 256 channels.[2]

  3. Third-party and UA-IP cameras require a 3rd-Party License in increments of 1 channel, and HD DVRs and certain GeoVision camera series require an HD DVR License.[3]

  4. An AI License is required for full AI functionality in GV-VMS, including PVD events and built-in face recognition; AI camera events do not need it.[4]
