Freedom Scientific

Freedom Scientific publishes assistive technology software including the JAWS screen reader, ZoomText and Fusion screen magnifiers and OpenBook. Its software is sold as subscriptions or as perpetual licences with a Software Maintenance Agreement.

  1. JAWS, ZoomText and Fusion are available as subscription and perpetual licences; subscriptions include updates during 1-, 2- or 3-year terms.[1]

  2. Perpetual licences include a Software Maintenance Agreement (SMA) valid for 2-year terms, and phone and email support requires an active subscription or a current SMA.[2]

  3. Business customers can choose single-user licences or multi-user licences distributed through licence servers, with Remote Access for Citrix, VMware Horizon and Remote Desktop included in Professional subscriptions.[3]

  4. Home Annual and Home Perpetual licences can be activated on up to three of the licensee's computers for personal, non-commercial use.[4]
