FARO Technologies

FARO Technologies makes 3D measurement and laser scanning hardware and software, including SCENE and As-Built. FARO software is licensed as single-user or network licences, on perpetual or subscription terms, delivered as product keys or dongles.

  1. A single-user licence provides one product key that can be activated once, while a network licence provides a pool of keys supplied by a network server.[1]

  2. Licences are delivered as a softlock product key or a hardlock USB dongle that can license the software on any computer it is plugged into.[2]

  3. A perpetual licence allows indefinite use and includes twelve months of software maintenance; a subscription licence allows use and updates only while the subscription is active.[3]

  4. Thirty-day fully functional trial licences are available for evaluation.[4]
