Ericom Software

Ericom Software, now part of Cradlepoint (Ericsson), makes Ericom Connect and AccessNow for remote desktop and virtual application access, PowerTerm terminal emulation, and a cloud security platform. On-premises software is licensed under the Ericom EULA as perpetual, subscription or limited-term licences using user, device and session metrics.

  1. The Ericom EULA (Version 17) does not apply to use of the software as a service; licences are specified in an Ericom Software License Certificate, such as Perpetual, Subscription and Limited Term Licenses.[1]

  2. Schedule A defines licence types including Named User, Concurrent User, Concurrent Session (active browser tabs), User Device, Server Device, Device and Server Session (open host sessions) licences.[2]

  3. Device and Named User allocations are retained for at least 30 days from last use before they can be moved to a different device or user, and Named User accounts may not be shared or generic.[3]

  4. Usage above the License Certificate is invoiced at standard fees plus interest; Ericom may audit usage at most once a year, and the licensee pays audit costs if underpaid fees exceed 5% of fees paid for the audit period.[4]

  5. A Perpetual License does not include Support Services, which may be purchased annually from Ericom or a channel partner.[5]

  6. Ericom publishes its End User License Agreement and Master Subscription Agreement, together with support terms and a data processing addendum, on its Terms and Agreements page.[6]
