Eplan

Eplan makes electrical, fluid and panel-building engineering software such as Eplan Electric P8 and the Eplan Platform, plus cloud services. It licenses software mainly by subscription as single, concurrent, WAN or concurrent named-user licences, and publishes separate conditions for older perpetual licences.

  1. A Single-License is a time-limited right of use restricted to one installation on a single user's hardware or a corresponding cloud application, and does not include access via the company network or RDP.[1]

  2. A Concurrent-License allows installation on several computers in the internal network, limited to the country of the contracting party's registered office (or the whole EEA, Great Britain and Switzerland for parties based there), with parallel use capped by activated base systems managed by EPLAN licence-management software; a WAN-License extends the network worldwide.[2]

  3. A Concurrent-Named-User-License may only be used by registered users whose names are entered.[3]

  4. After the basic contract term, the subscription renews for further 12-month periods unless terminated with three months' notice, and software maintenance runs with the subscription and cannot be terminated separately.[4]

  5. The right of use is not transferable, and the contracting party must keep records of copies made and allow EPLAN to inspect those records on request.[5]

  6. Eplan publishes separate contractual conditions for subscriptions, perpetual licences, WAN licences, consulting, training and Eplan Cloud.[6]
